White Peony Tea

While Silver Needle is the highest quality tea, made entirely from youngest, most delicate tea leaves, White Peony wears the crown of China’s second best White Tea.

White Peony is locally known as Pai Mu Tan or Bai Mudan, which literally means white peony blossom. But there is no Peony in this tea, just a delicate white tea, made from down-covered buds and young leaves. The tea is picked during dry days between March and April. Leaves are naturally withered and dried in the sun. Infused they produce a pleasing aroma of sorell and an enjoyable nutty flavor.The White Peony white tea is produced in the Fujian counties of Fuding, Zhenghe, Jianyang and Songxi.
